Federal officials say more than 24,000 improperly licensed commercial drivers are being removed.

The administration links part of that breakdown to illegal alien hiring, document fraud, and state licensing failures. Trump is pairing enforcement with a direct workforce path for veterans who already know heavy equipment, logistics, maintenance, and strict safety procedures.

Their Supreme Court brief argues Democratic-led states sued too early and cannot prove a concrete, current injury. The fight will decide whether states can block federal election safeguards before agencies even finish implementing them. Courts should demand actual harm, not political disagreement dressed up as standing.

The Justice Department has invoked the Alien Terrorist Removal Court, a special body Congress created in 1996. The Anthropic gain proves Microsoft is exposed to competing model developers, not just software subscriptions and cloud contracts. Those financial ties can shape which AI products Microsoft promotes to businesses.

X has settled its legal fight with the World Federation of Advertisers. Musk's company accused the group of coordinating an illegal advertiser boycott after his $44 billion purchase of the platform. The settlement ends the case without a public trial or disclosed financial terms. Coordinated advertising pressure can punish speech without Congress passing a single censorship law.

Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche was slated to press Sen. John Cornyn to release his hold on Blanche's confirmation. Cornyn is leaving after losing the Texas Republican primary to Attorney General Ken Paxton following Trump's intervention. The confirmation dispute leaves DOJ under acting leadership while Senate Republicans fight internally. One departing senator should not turn the nation's top law enforcement office into a vehicle for personal retaliation.
